The Assassins Rule

The Assassin's Creed is the code and philosophy that we assassins follow. The creed is expected to be followed and passed down by every member of the assassin order.

First I will outlinie what the creed means in AC, then what it means for us in The Original Brotherhood (T*Ø*ß)

"We are nothing if we do not abide by the assassins' creed" - Al Mualim

The Creed:

Laa shay'a waqi'un moutlaq bale kouloun moumkine.

These are the words spoken by our ancestors - that lay at the heart of our creed.

Where other men blindly follow the truth, remember...nothing is true.

Where other men are limited, by morality or law, remember...everthing is permitted.

We work in the dark, to serve the light. We are assassins.

the three Tenets:

1. Stay your blade from the flesh of an innocent

( The Assassins believe that political assassinations and the death of the corrupt will bring peace and a true sense of security to the common people. Slaying innocents and civilian bystanders who do not need to die can spread strife and discord, in addition to ruining the name of the Assassin Order itself. )

2. Hide in plain sight.

Be unseen. The Assassins' aim is to get close to their target stealthily, and escape just as quickly. In more ancient times, Assassins aimed to perform ostentatious, awe-inspiring assassinations, usually in public.

The greatest illusion from such an assassination was that the Assassin seemingly materialized from nowhere, killed a corrupt public figure, and vanished into the depths of the crowd or environment. If an Assassin was spotted stalking their target, the supernatural effect would be diluted, and it became more difficult for the Assassin to reach his target.

3. Never compromise the brotherhood.

The actions of one must never bring harm to all. If an Assassin fails in his or her duty, and is captured or chased, he or she must never commit any action or say anything that can be tied back to the Brotherhood, or bring harm to any member of it.

The Maxim

"Our Creed does not command us to be free. It commands us to be wise."

―Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad.

"Nothing is true; everything is permitted" is the Creed's maxim and primary guideline. The phrase was created during the 11th century by Hassan-I Sabbah, the first recorded Mentor of the Assassin Order.

The Clan Rule

In The Original Brotherhood (T*Ø*ß), we follow the Creed, Tenet and Maxim, however modified to our place on home.

When you act you are reflecting on our brotherhood. The members are what define the name of The Original Brotherhood (T*Ø*ß), in the community and how you put yourself forward to other people and clans reflects how they see the clan as a whole. Therefore we ask that every member follow the above rules and treat other clans and people with respect in the community.

Also respect within the clan is a priority. The clan is a family and brotherhood, we each try to treat each other with the same respect and tolerance. If there is a problem between members we ask that it's sorted out quietly amongst only themselves, or with the aid of a mentor, and does not turn into a conflict involving other members of the clan.

We also do realize that conflict does arise around home, and whereas it's our goal to bring about peace, we realize that other people sometimes thrive on disturbing that peace. We encourage each of our members to be support to any of our assassins who are in need of assistants. Remember, we never fight alone.
